Summer Vibes All Year Long: In Case You Missed It (My September 2020 Newsletter)
By Diana Mosher
We want to hold onto summer for as long as possible, especially in these times of social distancing! My friend devised a trick for her new home: she commissioned a painting of her favorite summer vista from artist Joanne Thorne Arnold. Now she can enjoy summer vibes all year round. And her new art acquisition will make working from home in the colder months much more enjoyable. READ MY Q&A WITH JOANNE THORNE ARNOLD

Visit the Virtual Hamptons Holiday House
This Master Sitting Room designed by Iris Dankner, Principal of ID Creations by Iris Dankner, is just one of the many amazing spaces featured in the 2020 Hamptons Holiday House. Iris is also the Founder of Holiday House and a 23-year breast cancer survivor. “I have held the annual fall NYC showhouse for the last 12 years and the annual summer Hamptons showhouse for the last four years to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, yet this year that proved impossible. The health and safety of our staff, design community and visitors are our top priorities, Therefore, I had to make the difficult decision to cancel the event.”
When life gives Iris lemons she makes pink lemonade. In this case, she decided to pivot and produce a virtual designer showhouse to be published in the Hamptons Magazine Home and Garden issue to continue raising money for breast cancer research and keep the design community engaged and safe during the summer months. Iris says, “Although the showhouse has gone virtual, you’ll find that this issue is packed with rooms crafted by interiors icons and tons of real life design inspiration to transform your own abode. Huge thanks to the entire team at Hamptons Magazine for making this dream a reality.” Photo by Douglas Holt Photography via Hamptons Magazine. VISIT THE VIRTUAL SHOWHOUSE
